Of all the 'What if' pieces I've read, this is by far the most unique and entertaining. Like the title suggests, expect everything to be turned 180 degrees. A crippled healer finds a dying warrior on a battlefield. These two souls are drawn together in a way which is familiar and yet completely different  As you can tell,  I don't want to give away the plot simply because the unusual circumstance of this story is the major part of its charm. Fresh and imaginative, this is an entirely new slant on Xena fan fiction.

Ladies and gentlemen ...we have a series.  This is the second in what the author has now dubbed "The Reversal Series," and this makes me a very happy camper.  Nancy continues to tell the tale of the warrior and the healer in a fresh and very believable manner.  No compromise is taken with the characters of Xena and Gabrielle, they remain true to the women we love, despite the fact that they walk through this new world of Nancy's crafting.

The Healer and the Warrior aid a village that has been hit by a Warlord.  They each make mistakes that so many do early in a relationship.  Healer learns that the Warrior must have a place in her craft and the Warrior learns that she can't protect the Healer all of the time.  This common theme is told in whole new way and yet the lesson of trust remains the same.

It's a Hat Trick for Nancy!  The third story in the Reversal series is just as engaging and imaginative as the first two stories. The Healer is trapped in the depths of a fever, leaving the Warrior at a loss as to how to care for her lover.  The fever is actually a trap rather than the symptoms of a simple illness.  Callisto has joined forces with Ares to set this trap and it is up to the Warrior to enter the realm of Morpheus to save the Healer.

Before you say "Isn't that just like..." Let me say definitely 'No it isn't!'  I love the slant that Nancy has cast on Xena and Gabrielle, with another new tale that will not disappoint.

In the fourth installment of Nancy's Reversal series we are treated to, as the title says, a lighter less angst- ridden tale of the Warrior and the healer. The healer becomes the unknowing recipient of a bespelled talisman with unusual and humorous results.  The Warrior must get her lover back to Athens to have the spell removed before it destroys them both.  ...But 'OH' what a way to go.

I enjoyed 'Madame President' for a variety of reasons. Devlyn Marlowe is an openly gay woman who just happens to be a mother and the President of the United States in the year 2020. She is brave, dedicated and tireless. When she decides to have her biography written, she chooses her favourite writer to do it. Lauren Strayer is a talented novelist with a couple of biographies under her belt already, and puzzled by the President's proposal. But the fact that Lauren voted for Devlyn's opponent doesn't bother the President one bit. After much negotiating, Lauren accepts the job and moves into the White House. I won't ruin the plot for you but I will tell you that this large novel quickly lodged itself in my favourites list. We are taken along as silent passengers on a journey that is filled with tenderness, bravery, strength, vulnerability and integrity. We are given an intimate look at the President's family, introduced to an ugly and amorous dog, and shown that it IS possible to achieve our dreams. This story became a favourite for all the reasons above, but also because the characters (right down to a specific Secret Service Agent) are downright unforgettable. 

You won't regret reading this one!
